David Watts Barton is an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, online and on radio. A former music critic, columnist and feature writer at The Sacramento Bee in California, Barton was Editor-in-Chief of the news website Sacramentopress.com, and hosted a talk show on the local NPR affiliate. He has released on album, Straight, and his first book, Japan from Anime to Zen, will be published by Stone Bridge Press in Winter 2021. He created the music history website www.music1967.com after years of 1967 trivia banging around in his head. Barton travels full time between New York, Northern California, Italy and Japan, and blogs on life, music and Japanese culture at www.davidwattsbarton.com.
